چکیده
Exchange transfusion of blood (75-80% replacement of blood of recipient animals) was used to study the effect of blood-borne influences on nuclear labeling with thymidine-3H and on occur rence of mitosis in hepatocytes of rat liver. Intact or shamhepatectomized rats and partially hepatectomized rats were: (a) not transfused, (6) transfused with blood from rats with intact livers, or (c) transfused with blood from rats with partly excised livers. Partially hepatectomized or sham-hepatectomized rats were transfused once or twice (consecutively) at intervals after operation. Nonhepatectomized rats were transfused at equivalent times before they were killed. Transfusion had the following effects on labeling of nuclei and on occurrence of mitosis in hepatocytes: (a) no change in rats with intact livers transfused with blood from donor rats with either intact or partly excised livers, (o) depression or delay in partially hepatectomized rats transfused with blood from donor rats with intact livers (delay prolonged by 2 consecutive trans fusions), and (c) a variable depression or delay in partiall}'

Cypermethrin-Induced Liver Histopathology in Rat: Protective Role of Jamun Seed and Orange Peel Extracts
We evaluated ameliorative effects of Jamun seed and orange peel extracts on liver toxicity in cypermethrin exposed rat. Methods: Rats were given following treatments daily for 30 d: Group A: Control Group B: Rats received cypermethrin Group C: These rats received cypermethrin and Jamun seed extract simultaneously Group D: These rats received cypermethrin and orange peel extract simultaneou...
متن کاملHepatoprotective Activity of Cichorium intybus L. Leaves Extract Against Carbon Tetrachloride Induced Toxicity
The effects of different concentrations of the hydroalcoholic extract of dried powdered leaves of Cichorium intybus L., on CCl4-induced hepatotoxicity in vivo in rats and CCl4-induced cytotoxicity in isolated rat hepatocytes were investigated. Rats received different concentrations of the extract by i.p. injection for 3 consecutive days before the injection of (3ml/kg) CCl4 (i.p.). Twenty four ...
متن کاملEffect of the aqueous extract of Panax ginseng on the histomorphometric properties of the liver and some serum biochemical parameters of Rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss)
Panax ginseng (P. ginseng) root as a traditional herbal medicine, has biological capabilities e.g. antioxidative and detoxification, although there is little data about its probable effects on the liver structure particularly in the aquatic organisms. So, the present study was aimed to investigate the effects of different levels of aqueous extract of P. Ginseng root on the hepatic histomorpho...

متن کاملElevated expression and cell cycle deregulation of a mitosis-associated target polypeptide of a carcinogen in hyperplastic and malignant rat hepatocytes.
A cytoplasmic polypeptide with a molecular weight of 14,000 (p14) was previously found to be the principal covalent target protein of the carcinogen, N-2-fluorenylacetamide (2-acetylaminofluorene), early during carcinogenesis in rat liver. The level of immunodetected p14 was markedly increased specifically during all stages of mitosis of hepatocytes in normal and regenerating partially hepatect...
